About Coach Lamarche

Jonathan has been a wellness professional working with individuals and organizations for almost 20 years. He is also a Maine Potter and speaks regularly on the subject of art for meditation practice. You can find his work at Practicing martial arts since age nine, seeking to understand health and resiliency through mind / body practices has become a way of life. As a passionate coach he is at his best when partnering with busy people to develop custom crafted fitness programs they can do on their own with limited time.


A Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Nutrition Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, he focuses heavily on integrated movement and real food. While attending college at the University of Maine at Farmington where he received his degree in psychology with a focus in exercise science, Jon took an interest in resiliency based health from an interdisciplinary perspective. This led him on a student exchange to Cal. State University where he completed a research assistantship in health psychology.During this time Jon was also able to train at the Gracie Jiu Jitsu Academy headquarters, and became one of the early practitioners to bring Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to Maine.


In 2001 Jonathan co-founded The Foundry Jiu Jitsu team which now includes a network of instructors, grappling and MMA competitors throughout the Northeast. Recently he developed Foundry-One, a mindful based fitness program that blends strength, mobility, conditioning and diet with warrior based philosophy. With a diverse background Jonathan is available for one to one coaching online via this website through his online training app MiGym Coach.
